Established in Meiji 23 (1890), "Akasaka Totoya Uoshin" inherited the tradition of the long history fresh fish shop. In the past 120 years, "Akasaka Totoya Uoshin" has underwent a growth from a fresh fish shop, a caterer, to a restaurant. As a long-established restaurant, "Akasaka Totoya Uoshin" might seems to has a high threshold, but please enter freely and enjoy your meal.
The restaurant could be easily access with a 3-minute walk from Akasaka station, and the interior is filled with Japanese atmosphere. "Akasaka Totoya Uoshin" selects ingredients based on seasons, apply seasonal food to bring out the original flavor of each ingredients. Why not encounter the luxurious of seasonal appetite at the end of your journey?

"Akasaka Totoya Uoshin" provides cuisine that are made by precious seasonal ingredients. The restaurant manager goes to select seasonal seafoods in Toyosu market in person, and they are especially particular about selecting seasonal white-fleshed fish.
You could definitely feel the quality of fresh fish while trying "Mixed Sashimi Platter". When entering summer season, it is the best timing to enjoy Turbo Sazae, "Sazae Kudzu Starch". If this dish is more than 200g, big size of sashimi cube will be used and carefully boil with kadzu starch. Also, the dish will be heated up in a short time by placing in the fire for few seconds. The use of kudzu starch could soften the Sazae and create a filling and starching texture for this dish.
To emphasize the freshness of one fish, salt-grilled fish will be the best fish dish, "Salt-grilled Seabass". With a crispy skin, and tender meat, once you tried this fatty Seabass, you will soon be obsessed with it.
When it comes to delicious eggplant during summer, you shouldn’t miss out "Kamo eggplant", which is called as the king of Kyoyasai (a kind of vegetable originated from Kyoto). The dish "Kamo eggplant with shrimp and minced meat" used fresh prawn. And since the original taste of each ingredient are all strong and unique, the dish is not strongly seasoned.
